Giant Trevally

Called “warrior of the sea” by Pacific Islanders the the Giant Trevally is truly a fish that will test your skills. They are fast and get quite large and powerful. They range throughout the Indo-Pacific Region and are found in tropical waters of west Africa to Central and South Americas and as far north as Hawaii and as far south as Australia. They reach a size of 5 ½ feet long and 170 lbs in weight, so you can see that landing one provides a true achievement. Trevally found in bays and esturaries, slash violently at surface plugs, and minnow patterns.
