THURSDAY
ARRIVE AT CAMP
Guests arrive via floatplane - the only way to access the camp. After landing on the Nushagak, you are transported via 18-foot aluminum jet boats to Camp. You will have a chance to stow your luggage, get settled into your accommodations and organize your tackle. Lunch will be served at noon and you are free to fish on your own, non-guided, in front of and around camp.

FRIDAY - WEDNESDAY
SIX FULL FISHING DAYS
For the next week, you'll be fishing in one of the most remote and pristine regions of Alaska. These are full fishing days and the daily schedule will vary depending on your stamina. Most often, anglers are awakened in the morning at around 6:30 a.m. Breakfast is served at 7:00 a.m. Your guide will help you rig your rod, select flies, and have you on the river by 8:00 a.m. Lunch is taken on the river. You will be back in camp at approximately 5:00 p.m., in time for a hot shower, a cocktail or two, and appetizers. Dinner is usually served at 7:00 p.m. If you have any energy left after a very full day, you are welcome to fish the home waters on your own before or after dinner.

THURSDAY
DEPART CAMP
On your departure day from Camp you will reverse the arrival process. Your float plane will depart between 12:00 and 1:00 PM for the 45 minute flight to the village of Iliamna. You can either spend another night in Anchorage at a hotel of your choice and depart the following morning for home, or catch a redeye flight back to the Lower 48 this same day, if one is available.

Summer

The Outpost on the Nush has all the essentials you'll need for a comfortable stay in the Alaskan bush. The camp facilities include a full kitchen and dining room, a drying room/lounge, hot showers, incinerating toilets, and modest but comfortable guest cabins situated on the river side. Sleeping arrangements are two guests per cabin, with comfortable mattresses, sleeping bags, lighting and electrical outlets. Linens are provided, along with pillows, washcloths, towels, etc.

All meals are cooked home-style from fresh ingredients. Throughout the week, dinner entrées will vary with local and seasonal availability and can include fresh veggies, homemade breads and pastry and desserts, steaks, chicken, pork, and fresh fish. Breakfast will include sausage and bacon, eggs to order, hot or cold cereals, oatmeal, pancakes and other hearty options. Lunch on the river typically includes sandwiches, chips, veggies, treats, and a choice of drink. Hors d'oeuvres are served upon arrival to camp after the fishing day, and wine, beer, and a limited amount of liquors are included in your camp stay. Please feel free to bring a bottle or two of your favorite spirits or wines with you to camp.

Anglers must fly into Anchorage and overnight, then book a flight to Illiamna, where from there they will be transported to the Outpost.

The operating season runs from early June to the end of August each year. A session at the Outpost includes seven nights of lodging, six days of guided fly fishing, flies, terminal tackle, meals, a basic alcoholic beverage program and round-trip transportation from Iliamna, AK to the camp. For 2023 the rate will be $7000.
