Where to fly to: Port Sudan via Dubai.

Where your tour starts: Port Sudan, Sudan.

Transfers on arrival: On arrival in Port Sudan, guests will be met by an African Waters English speaking representative and transferred via road to the mooring sight of the mothership. 3 hours approximately.

Visas – Visas are required by all visitors, but are pre-arranged through African Waters, with very little hassle on behalf of the guest
Type of accommodation: live-aboard mothership. Each guest gets their own cabin. Boats have air-conditioning.

Boats: Yes – tender boats are used to transports anglers from the mothership to the flats where 90 percent of the fishing is wet wading. Fishing is also done from the tender boats when fishing offshore.

Communications: Sat phone on board and limited cell reception depending on mooring..

Optional add on to your stay: Fly fishing for queen fish in Dubai. Guests can either arrive a day early in Dubai before their tour starts, or stay a day longer after their tour ends. Fishing for the queen fish is booked on a daily basis with Ocean Active. There is also the option of a permit specific fly fishing in Southern Oman as an add on.

March to July

The mothership provides high comfort , thanks to good of layout of interior and exterior spaces .

There are 7 double cabins al with hand wash basins(hot and cold water). The ship has 4 showers and 5 flush toilets.

The dining & recreational area is nice and comfortable and is fully kitted with television, dvd, and hifi system. There are also deck chairs to stretch out and enjoy the Sudanese sunshine.

Electricity is supplied 24hours per day and the entire boat is fully air conditioned.
