SPRING CREEK LODGE

The area between Junín de los Andes and Alumine in Northern Patagonia is the most prolific dry fly fishing region in the world. The variety and abundance of fishable water would allow you to fish a different location each day for more than 100 days. Dry fly fishing is available throughout the entire season, November through May.Spring Creek Lodge’s central location allows for easy access to northern Patagonia’s world-class trout waters. Five of the region’s most famous rivers, several spring creeks, and pristine mountain lakes are all a short drive away. This region is a dry fly mecca.During your stay at Spring Creek Lodge or Casa de Campo Lodge you can also choose to experience 2 or 3 day floats that incorporate overnight camping at our DELUXE RIVERSIDE CAMP. This option is available on several of the larger rivers that we float.

CASA DE CAMPO LODGE

2 hours drive north from Junin de los Andes area, lays the Pehuenia district. This area hides several medium size streams and spring creeks, an ideal setting for our Trout Hunt program. You will target specific fish with your guide, planning a strategy to approach them.

CHOCOY MALLIN - HELI PROGRAM

Remoteness has kept this region’s waters untouched by anglers. The numerous creeks and high altitude lakes are just waiting to be explored. This translates into a paradise for anglers with an explorer’s soul. Especially for those that love solitude, a wide variety of environments and many miles of unpressured creeks and rivers.

Daily helicopter hops within short minutes will take you to a great variety of water systems including sight fishing on spring creeks, pocket water streams, larger rivers or even fishing from boats on stunning mountain lagoons. You will encounter wild rainbows, browns and book trout and you will be able to catch them on a diverse variety of techniques. But overall you will be walking in remote lonely areas surrounded by beautiful and pristine sceneries.

GOLDEN DORADO EXPERIENCE

Golden Dorado are native to the tropics of South America and can be found in a variety of environments such as Marshs, Lagoons, Streams and in rivers of different sizes. Each environment offer unique fly fishing experiences due to the conditions that reign.

The seasons in northern Patagonia are opposite of those in North America. Our fishing season runs from November through May, which translates to late spring, summer and the beginning of autumn in the northern hemisphere.

December through early March
During the summer months, late December through early March, the average daytime temperatures vary between 66 F and 86 F. Nighttime and early morning temperatures are usually cooler so you may need an extra layer of clothing before the sun warms thing up.

November, March and April
Spring and autumn are a bit cooler with daytime temperatures reaching into the 70’s F with the morning and nighttime lows in the low 60’s F. Having a vest or jacket handy is typically suggested for the evenings and mornings.

Much like the mountain regions in the western US and Canada the weather in northern Patagonia can be unpredictable and has the possibility of changing throughout the day. For that reason we recommend that you have the ability to layer your clothing as weather conditions dictate. Packing a fleece or rain gear is always a good idea.

SPRING CREEK LODGE
Located on the banks of the upper Chimehuin River, Spring Creek Lodge has six cabañas each featuring two individual bedrooms with a shared bath, living room and outdoor porch. Gourmet dinners are served in the clubhouse while you enjoy the stunning views of the Lanín Volcano. The clubhouse also has a common sitting area and bar for you to enjoy a glass of wine or your favorite beverage. Upstairs presents a wine tasting room and a boutique with one-of-a-kind pieces designed and crafted by local artists and artisans.

Every morning, prior to breakfast, a member of the team will arrive at your cabana to get the fireplace going and deliver coffee.

CAMPO DE CAMPO LODGE
Casa de Campo Lodge is located two hours north of Junin de los Andes. It provides an excellent base for fishing the areas numerous spring creeks, the Alumine and Quillen rivers, and several mountain lakes. These waters, especially the spring creeks, provide great sight fishing opportunities for trophy-size brook, brown and rainbow trout.

Marisa and Daniel, the hosts and excellent cooks, will delight you with their traditional homemade Argentine meals. This rustic-style lodge, which has a private and quiet setting, has four en-suite apartments for a maximum capacity of eight guests.

CHOCHOY MALLIN - HELI PROGRAM
The beautiful Estancia Chochoy Mallin, with its centered location, features a brand new Lodge and stunning Lodge that’s the perfect home for this experience. Super-spacious rooms accommodate eight anglers for a lifetime trip.

Our newest lodge is the perfect blend of new construction with the ranch’s pre-existing historic buildings. Four luxury bedrooms are featured, each with two double beds and en suite bathrooms. A maximum of 8 anglers per week can be accommodated. Multiple common areas and a warm open fireplace provide a great atmosphere for guests to enjoy their favorite beverages and share stories. The adjoining dining room serves delicious meals that combine local traditions with international cuisine. These meals are paired with fine Argentine wines. An extended deck and galleria create another environment to enjoy a special asado or just sit and watch the sunset behind the Andes Mountains.Each room features two queen size beads and offers super spacious 480 square feet of privacy with a seating area and desk to enjoy your resting time and recover your energies towards the following day of action.
