Arén Fishing Lodge:

Located in the medieval village surrounded by wilderness, the lodge presents a glorious setting for a fly-fishing expedition. Its deep history includes a traditional restaurant managed by Juan´s family for almost three centuries. Here, cozy accommodation with a family gathering feel prevails – log fires and communal dinners are complemented by an impeccable wine list carefully chosen by the sommelier. Fully equipped with all services for the avid angler and the travel companion, in the Spanish Pyrenees.
Six restored double-bed bedrooms plus two comfortable apartments on the first and second floors. The venue also has on the ground floor, there is a spa and wellness center (massage room, sauna, jacuzzi, gym), a heated wader room, and an in-house fly shop.
All meals have been served at the nearby family-owned restaurant since 1762, where the attention to culinary detail is deliciously evident. The menu features local, organic produce in traditional dishes. Every night, Salvelinus guests gather in the private wine cellar to savor the delicious local cuisine paired with exquisite Spanish wines.
Arén was a wine location in the Pyrenees centuries ago. Nowadays there are no longer vineyards or merchants for this matter, but wine culture is still clearly a passion here. The ancient cellar has an excellent wine selection from some of the best Pyrenees vineyards. Lunch and dinner are paired with genuine wines from several wine regions all over Spain.

15th Century Villa Restored as Fly Fishing Lodge
Ideally located on the banks of the Aragón River, this stone building sitting on a tiny village by the Way of Saint James, is flooded with history. Since its beginning, it served as a meeting point for merchants, pilgrims, San Juan de la Peña monks, winemakers, and all those who followed the course of the Pyrenees’s waters to the Mediterranean Sea. The Lodge was renovated in 2016; becoming a cozy, comfortable, fully equipped fly-fishing lodge for exclusive use by anglers and their companions traveling with Salvelinus.
Four country-style rooms with views of the Aragón river. Two suites and two bedrooms with twin beds or double bed. All rooms have access to a private outdoor terrace and an indoor lounge, the palace’s 15th-century wine fermentation room. Santa Cilia also has a massage room, a fly shop, and a waders room.
The dining room is a rustic and traditional stone building, part of the 15th-century palace. All meals present a comprehensive selection of Mediterranean and Spanish cuisine elaborated with local produce.
The cellar has an excellent wine selection especially curated by Salvelinus from some of the best national wineries. Both lunch and dinner are paired with high-end wines from the Pyrenees and other prestigious wine regions such as Rioja or Priorat.
