Barramundi
If you never traveled to Australia, barramundi may just sound like another exotic location. You might never know it was a fish. The barramundi is also known as the Asian sea bass. The species is widely distributed in the Indo-West Pacific region from South Asia to Papua New Guinea and Northern Australia. They are prized by anglers and sport-fishing enthusiasts for their good fighting ability. Barramundi inhabit coastal waters, estuaries, lagoons, and rivers found in clear to turbid water.
